Intricate table formatting. Complex and otherwise time consuming changes can be streamlined with the aid of bespoke self-written macros.

Pre-editing – Technical formatting/editing, tagging and content-checking of documents with the aim of removing many of the awkward, technical and repetitive aspects of the copy-editor’s job, allowing the copy-editor to then concentrate purely on reading and editing the text, without numerous non-language distractions. This is achieved using either a provided template and specification or I can create a suitable template when necessary.

Post-editing – General styling/formatting; template creation; application of templates, typecodes and styles. Production of intricate layouts (in MS Word) ready for publication, including conversion to pdf files if required. Complex formatting is provided for pre-publication projects.

Template development – I can create MS Word Templates including Ribbon customisations.
